time for an update.

The blog posts have become few and far between. Work, life, the dog and the weather are my excuses for being so slack when it comes to writing down all our antics. But here I am, about to recount everything thats happened in the last two months.

Well......Harry's new job is going really well. He is like a kid in a sweetshop with all the shoes and t shirts he comes into contact with on a daily basis. His trip to Germany was such a good experience for him, to learn and to network. As if one trip wasnt enough, 2 weeks ago he was sent to madrid for a visual merchandising/marketing conference! Needless to say I now call Harry mr international jetsetter.

Millie is growing by the day. She is no longer a scared puppy, but a hyperactive toddler! Her jack russell roots are coming out to play and she runs around the flat like a crazy girl - often running head first into the sofa or the coffee table. She can jump a considerable height off the ground and apparently gets car sick. She has had her first beach trip and apart from confusion about her paws sinking in the sand and the waves, she enjoyed herself I think. She has well and truly made herself at home here and has claimed the spare room bed as her own. And we have learnt the hard way not to leave our laptop chargers lying on the floor......

Further developments since I last blogged.....we now have four wheels. Harry got his company car a about a month ago, and while there was a big issue (Harry being only 23 and driving for less than a year - the leasing company who provide all of Adidas wouldnt insure him) Harry finally got the car he had been waiting for. Ok so ive named it the toy car because it looks like something you would buy from early learning centre for a child, but joking aside....who cares what car it is when it has four wheels, air conditioning and its free. My first driving experience with Harry was possibly the scariest and funniest moment we have had since we moved here.... waiting outside work for me we decided to take a trip to grannys. Now Cypriots dont drive so well, they generally dont signal and they are very impatient, to cut a long story short we made it to granny in one piece. Since then he has come a long way, im actually now allowed to talk to him whilst he drives!

Now lets talk about the weather. ITS HOT. Surprisingly my body is coping ok (so far), and I'm even still wearing trousers to work. To be fair I spend most of my day inside an air conditioned office.  Walking home from work in the sunshine is a pretty nice feeling, however I can feel my body starting to get tired of the heat...and we are still in the 30's. Apparently the 40's will arrive in july and then i wont be so happy....according to my work colleagues...hmmmmm. With the new addition of a car, we have been venturing to the beach at the weekend; i have to say knowing i can spend the day lying on a sun-lounger and swimming in the sea makes up for the fact that i miss everyone.

So its 10.30pm on Saturday night and its still 26 degrees. Yeh this heat thing is going to get bored very VERY soon. Harry is working as they are opening a new store on Monday and me and millie have spent the last half an hour lying on the tiled floor because its cold! I think im hot, she has a fur coat on.

Tomorrow is a pool day. Im going to lie in the sun, have a swim and attempt to learn some more Greek. If someone can just upload the language to my brain, I would be eternally grateful. Efxaristo.

I could think of worse places to spend a Saturday afternoon
But then again I have to go to the beach with this

You would never guess he works for adidas!

[note there are no pictures of me because I am the one snapping away like a tourist]
